“Hutch & Hutch”
Boutique developer BridgeLane embarked upon a significant and enviable design challenge; converting a warehouse into a home. Their efforts and expertise are revealed in their site Hutch & Hutch, in Sydney’s Surry Hills.
BridgeLane extended and redesigned the historic warehouse to offer a modernised collection of unique apartments of up to 3-bedrooms.
They created a unique building, combining original warehouse features with contemporary design, breathing new life into a luxury residence.
TOAST was challenged with defining the vision and essence of BridgeLane’s new project. Enviably positioned in Surry Hills, Hutch & Hutch’s brand image needed to compliment the trendy, vibrant appeal of this city-fringe neighbourhood.
Combined with the location’s unique history – the site of Australia’s first vinyl record plant – for this project, TOAST took inspiration between the parallels of nostalgia and new. Drawing on the creative flair of the location, and the surrounding streets of Hutchinson Street and Hutchinson Lane, TOAST started with the name, and took it from there, developing a branding platform that took the boutique development to a new level of distinction.
Our company was awarded REA brand campaign of the year for its collaboration with BridgeLane and award-winning architects SJB and CBRE.
