The Wexford

The cultural heritage of the area was investigated. It transpired that the area was once the site of an historic event called the Castle Hill Rebellion where nearly 1,100 Irish convicts rebelled and marched to Constitution Hill. The majority of these convicts hailed from the County of Wexford in Ireland, hence arriving at the name – ‘The Wexford’.

The visual identity incorporated hand drawn, illustrative elements which is a modern, customised take on a classic typeface to tie in the old and new of the history of the area. This was teamed with a calm and saturated colour palette.

Toast opted for a creative design execution that had real stand out in the market and set a new precedent for project marketing in the Hills Shire area.

The project scope – brand identity, copywriting, editorial design, display suite design, video production and the new website design.
